Maura Roche opened Wildways back in 2000, and for almost seventeen years the restaurant has clung tightly to its ambition to serve healthful, clean-tasting and invogorating food, using organic and Fair Trade ingredients, right from breakfasttime and through the day. So, get things off to a good start with a bowl of Ballybrado organic porridge, or maybe a sesame seed bagel with Vallycotton smoked salmon and cream cheese, and you might find that you are walking in the doors again at lunchtime to try one of their fine soup-and-sandwich offers. Service is always prompt and helpful, and Wildways is a vital staple of Cork city centre, an ever-reliable friend when the hunger pangs strike.
