White Tea

All the best places to eat, shop and stay in Ireland. A local guide to local places.

“This little wonderland - where a whimsical array of china cups and saucers project from the walls, alongside an artful display of spoons and forks” is how Aoife Cox describes Alice Burns’s brilliant tea rooms and café. Ms Burns makes deliciously fresh salads, does some lovely savoury baking, and her cakes are fast becoming the stuff of legend – lemon drizzle cake with a tangy lemon curd filling; a bakewell tart with raspberries, the great walnut and coffee cake.

And the following is an Important Announcement: if you arrive late for lunch at White Tea, there is a very good chance that everything will be sold out. So, don’t delay, get there early.
