If there is an explanation for the enormous success of Kevin Roche and Taurean Coughlan’s Aussie-Berlin-Copenhagen-style eaterie, it is the feeling that they like to cook and eat this food just as much as their customers do. Coffee from Root & Branch in Belfast underpins everything, and then the only dilemma is making a decision: roast plum and raspberry toast; harissa baked beans; the excellent and ever-changing sausage rolls; beef brisket sandwich. Top class, super hip, and TBB is the cool cooking emblem of the new Phibsborough.
