Quinlan & Cooke
There are no other rooms quite like these stylish boltholes on the Ring of Kerry. Kate Cooke has created 10 rooms blessed with vivid and colourful modernist style, and one of them even includes a Pacman arcade machine. Breakfast is a delight, shared in the room and with fresh bread delivered to the door handle, there is smoked salmon, fresh fruit, good tea and coffee, and it makes for a lovely, lazy, private start to the day. With fresh wild seafood coming straight from their own boats, QC’s Restaurant at Quinlan & Cooke offers some of the best seafood cookery you can find. This is a restaurant that can take an old cordon bleu standard, such as paupiettes of black sole stuffed with prawns, crab and spinach and make it seem like the very essence of the sea and of modern culinary arts. Over two decades, QC’s has been distinguished by tremendous consistency, and by the rigour of Kate Cooke’s vision for a classic yet informal place to eat and drink.
