Little Bird

All the best places to eat, shop and stay in Ireland. A local guide to local places.

You can’t miss the pretty blue pastel colours of Little Bird, a destination which is another vital brick in the wall of the dynamic Leonard’s Corner food culture. Whilst you might imagine that coffee and yoga – the twin peaks of the Little Bird experience – are somewhat contradictory, what with coffee being a significant stimulant, in fact the synthesis of experiences in Little Bird is just perfect, because everything is so well thought-through, and, whether or not your downward dog is super-firm or somewhat-floppy, the café offers perfect solace every time. Whilst the menu offer is largely vegetarian, there are some carnivorous treats – slow-roast free-range pork on sourdough with fennel pickle – and we especially love the yoga supper evenings, where the class concludes with a communal vegetarian hotpot and good herbal teas. The outside space of Little Bird is dog-friendly too, so bring your spirit guide, and go with the flow in every way.
