L'Arco Italian Restaurant

All the best places to eat, shop and stay in Ireland. A local guide to local places.

The Quinn family’s restaurant, a few steps off the main street of pretty Ballyvaughan, has a smart, stylish room with subtle and tactile decor, and it’s a room that perfectly sets the tone for an evening enjoying friendly Italian cooking. With Italian chefs in the kitchen, the smart choice is to stick with their unpretentious Italian classics, dishes that a good kitchen curates and serves with respect – minestrone; pasta with salmon; seafood risotto; lasagne; melanzane alla parmigiana; pumpkin ravioli; tiramisu. Of course, there are steak dishes, and chicken, and you could also simply have a Margarita pizza with an Italian beer. But if you do want to make a good night of it when travelling the Wild Atlantic Way, then there are good wines on the list and lots of tasty things to enjoy. Do note that there are musical evenings, whilst many diners finish their evening with the lively sessions in Hyland’s Burren Hotel.
