Hole In The Wall
Martin McCaffrey’s bar is one of Dublin’s most famous places to grab a drink or two, as you explore and enjoy all the nooks and crannies of the longest bar in the country. But The Hole in the Wall is much more thn just a place for good beverages. There is also a wine shop – where they host wine courses for folk wanting to explore the intricacies of the grape – and a restaurant, with good cooking. You can also enjoy plates of tapas and a glass of wine in the wine shop so, in truth, this is a bar in which every potential of an Irish pub is explored and expressed. You might come to the edge of the Phoenix Park with your mates to watch a match and enjoy their critically rated chicken wings, whilst many folk love to visit at Xmas, when they decorate the place to the rafters and have a big wine fair. For many people, however, a visit to the Hole in the Wall is what you do after you have built up a healthy appetite with a stern walk in the Phoenix Park, and then you settle into a comfy snug and enjoy good wines and craft beers and delicious food. Always friendly, always fun, the Hole in the Wall is a Dublin treasure.
