The Blackbird is the pub that has it all. It has the music sessions, the gin collection, the good times, the good sounds, the craft beers, and The Field Kitchen, out at the back of the bar, where Adrian and Lisa fire out superb food for hungry, thirsty mortals from their food cart. The food seems simple – fish and chips; burgers; monkfish scampi – but Adrian and Lisa do everything with precision and care, so the fish is spanking fresh and the chips are crisp, salty and hot. There are few things in life better than a walk along the beautiful cliff path, up at the top of the village, to build up that appetite and get saturated by the sea-salty air, followed by a Cork craft beer and a good burger and chips in The Blackbird.
