Jesse Kennedy knows all the good things, and she knows exactly how to present them, so her food in the Coffee Shop at Skibbereen’s Uillinn Arts Centre is filled with flavour, colour and vivaciousness, and it hits the spot every time. There’s nothing quite likely the soulful satisfaction of a good meat pastie, or a wobbly slice of fresh quiche with a vervy chickpea salad, and The Coffee Shop is the perfect space in which to linger over a good cup of coffee with a cinnamon bun. The cooking is quite lovely, and the glass-walled room is also quite lovely, with a fine verandah for all those days when the sun shines. The Coffee Shop is a sparky, lively new hub for Skibbereen, and is another delight on the WAW.
