Borrowing its name, and imagery, from the famous movie, starring Steve McQueen and Jacqueline Bisset, Bullitt is cool, funky, and fun, and it’s the hottest destination in the city. It’s minimalist, colourful, and the staff – as you expect in Belfast – are delightful. The public rooms are essentially one great big space combining bar, coffee dock, and the Taylor & Clay restaurant, which specialises in meats cooked on their Asador grill. They serve a simple breakfast – granola and yogurt, fruit – brought to your door, though you can also grab a brioche bun, or cooked breakfast, downstairs. It’s a big, raucous space in the evenings, especially at weekends.
