All the best places to eat, shop and stay in Ireland. A local guide to local places.

Do you know your coffee? Do you really care about the coffee that passes your lips? Then you can’t – you can’t! – come to Dublin without a visit to 3FE Coffee, barista champion Colin Harmon’s brainchild, his muse, and his passionate ode to coffee, to coffee culture, to coffee magic.

Mr Harmon’s filter coffee changes every week, he offers tastings of different filter coffees (8 euro per person, served three ways), and any drink ordered comes with encyclopaedic knowledge of the beans, the roasting techniques, the blending and anything else worth knowing about the coffee you’re about to imbibe. Colin 3FE is a legend among his particular tribe of anoraks – we salute him!  – and we salute his passionate embrace of the subtle, mysterious organoleptic magic of truly great coffee.
