Thai House Restaurant
When Tony Ecock opened Thai House in 1997, Dublin had no virtually no authentic Asian cooking. But Mr Ecock is one of those rare, pioneering guys, someone who can see an opportunity to surprise and delight people and to offer something new, long before anyone else sees the chance. So, he assembled a great team in the kitchen and at front of house, created a comfortable and welcoming series of rooms, offered superbly curated wines, and cooked delicious Thai food – scallop and prawn salad; mussel, crabmeat and coconut soup; jungle curry; beef with squid and bamboo shoots; soft shell crab – and the rest, of course, is history. Thai House has enjoyed two decades of success, and has served numerous delighted customers who return time and again to one of Dalkey’s most beloved places to eat. We are all looking forward to the next twenty years!
