A stone-clad, handsome house dating from the 1820’s, set just down the seaward road off the main square in Clifden, Sheila Griffin’s Sea Mist B&B is one of those houses that define the essence of our guides. So, for instance, there are no televisions in the bedrooms.
Ms Griffin takes the opposite point of view from those who think every room has to have all the gizmos, and she knows that if you are in Connemara, you should be out on the Twelve Bens, or at least enjoying her lovely garden, or relaxing in the aesthetic of her beautiful house. So, she does things differently, and we like that.
