The impact Rua has had in its first years of business has been extraordinary, gifting a great new address to Castlebar, and complementing perfectly the superb Café Rua which the McMahon family have run for many years. Mr McMahon is simply the sharpest tool in the shed, so if you can imagine Bandon’s URRU crossed with Fallon & Byrne and with a slice of Avoca, then that’s what you get in Rua. Plus, they do the funkiest newsletter, which makes them a bit like Zingerman’s of Ann Arbor.
