Clodagh Davis is one of those dynamic women whose work has fashioned a neologism: she is a Mumpreneur. In Clodagh’s case, the term is utterly appropriate: she first made cordials for her son to sell at a lemonade stall, and later used her skills as the foundation for her company Naturally Cordial. Her fine drinks have met with tremendous success: in 2016, Ms Davis sold no fewer than 26,000 bottles of these luscious drinks, and the cordials are in many of the best shops in Ireland. Using Wexford fruit, and organic citrus fruits, and no artificial sweeteners, the Naturally Cordials are every parent’s answer to the question of finding a pure and genuine fruit drink to give to the little ones. In much the same way that cheesemakers refer to their product as “stored-up sunshine” Ms Davis describes naturally Cordials as “summer bottled.” The taste of summer sunshine, from the sunny South-East.
