Limerick Milk Market
The Milk Market is where you head to for some of the best eating and shopping in Limerick. The Market got itself a serious makeover a few years back, and in the process a great space for foods and crafts and culture was created. Whether you fancy sushi or some wet fish, a flat white or a bacon sandwich, a slice of lemon meringue pie or a glass of apple juice, it’s all here, and sold by a delightful bunch of stallholders and shopkeepers. Whilst some shopkeepers trade all week, the best days for the Market are Saturdays and Sundays, when everything is at full tilt, and the space becomes a jamboree of colour and choice, and you will find that it’s easy and joyful to while away the hours – and fritter away the cash! – as you amble from stall to stall. Just make sure you have plenty of time to see everything, including the many stalls that sell arts and crafts and clothes, in addition to all the lovely artisan foods.
