Lettercollum Kitchen Project

All the best places to eat, shop and stay in Ireland. A local guide to local places.

For more than twenty five years, Con and Karen’s Lettercollum Kitchen has been one of the defining West Cork destinations, a place where you discover transcendent food, served by people who wear their alternative philosophy lightly. Nobody – but nobody – makes better pastry than these guys, but then everything they send out to the folk sitting on the small collation of chairs in the café is blessed with goodness, blessed with healthfulness, and with a unique signature: there is no other cooking like Lettercollum cooking. It’s worth noting, by the way, if you should be heading to the nearby beaches, that stocking up with a picnic from the LK will make sure you have a great day on the dunes. Bridget Healy runs the counter and the room superbly, and wittily, and every bite in LK will sate your appetite, and restore your soul. Great foods on the shelves to take away with you complete a unique West Cork, Wild Atlantic Way destination.
