Ballyvaughan has a funny thing about real Italian food, because it was here that the original Holywell opened up many years ago with its rustic Italian food offer.
And now here is another slice of authenticity from the team of Italian chefs in George Quinn's restaurant. What impressed our friend Sile was the fact that the ravioli take a decent while to get served. But that's simply because they're concocting them freshly in the kitchen. And when that spinach and ricotta ravioli, with its butter and sage sauce, finally makes it to the table, it's been more than worth the wait. The pizzas are also very good, and, as you would expect in a decent Italian restaurant, the wines and the coffees are spot on.
