Kate's Kitchen

All the best places to eat, shop and stay in Ireland. A local guide to local places.

Kate, Beth and Jane’s magnificent emporium has all the classic artisan brands that your heart could desire. But, there is actually more to Kate’s than just sublime goodies, for this trio have a fiercely defined aesthetic, a shared artistic enterprise, that they bring to their day to day work, and as you shop here, or sit here and catch your breath with a cup of tea, that aesthetic, that vision, swaddles you in comfort, and makes you feel good. It’s a luxury emporium, Kate’s Kitchen, and the luxury is all the more precious for being the gift of feeling good. So, step in the door, grab a stool by the window, and it’s time for a sausage roll and a cup of Fixx coffee to get the day off to a good start, then hit the shelves, and then head home with one of their delicious take-away lunches: spiced chicken with Asian chickpea and peanut salad; felafel with cucumber pickle; pork and bean chilli hotpot; pork burrito with pickled onion. Lovely.
