“Still love the challenge”, says Jacque Barry. Ms Barry and her sister, Eithne, sure do love the challenge, as they now run not just their legendary Jacques restaurant, but also do the terrific food across town in The Woodford.
In Jacques, the cooking is logical and lovely: mackerel with beetroot and horseradish cream; lamb salad with Knockalara cheese; quail with sprouting broccoli and Gubbeen chorizo, Irish cheeses with handmade biscuits and drunken figs. Lovely room, and great value for money.
