The French Quarter Cafe
Can you believe that Annemarie and Loic’s French Quarter Café is quickly heading towards its tenth birthday? How lucky are the good folk of Tipperary town to have had more than nine years of beautiful baking, superb savoury cooking, and delicious coffees and teas. I mean, how lucky can you be to be able to walk in the French Quarter, and sit down with a brioche, banana and chocolate chip pudding. Put that with a perfect Americano from Green Bean coffee roasters, and the world is suddenly such a perfect place. What Loic and Annemarie understand is the ability of great food to make everyone happy, for how could you not be happy when you are having a bowl of carrot and coriander soup, with Italian flatbread with goat’s cheese and streaky bacon, and when you already know that you will have a slice of their classic citrus tart for dessert, to finish a perfect lunch. That is what the FQC has brought to Tipp: a space where the cooking makes you happy, a place where beautiful things put a big smile on your face.
