The Castle Cafe Restaurant
The Café has one of the finest locations imaginable: set in the riverside grounds of the historic Blackrock Castle, and with both an elegant dining room and a superlative terrace for dining, this is a destination for the ages, and for all ages. We don’t anyone who just doesn’t love visiting in this fairytale castle, and when you add in the excellent cooking they serve – the café is part of the Market Lane collective – then the deal is sealed.
It’s a great brunch destination – Cork producer’s breakfast; ricotta pancakes; Crowe’s Farm BLT – and with the lights turned low, it’s just perfect for dinner: ravioli of home-cured and smoked ham and ricotta; seafood pie with chorizo galette; gamekeeper’s pot with Brussels-kraut dumplings; matcha and lemon posset. Good wines, good cocktails, charming service in a dreamy destination.
