Some restaurants cook for you. And some restaurants feed you. Momo is one of those rare places that feed you. What Kamila, Harry and the team offer us is nothing less than soul food, cooking that replenishes and renews the soul at the same time that it satisfies the appetite – beef and horseradish arancini with beetroot ketchup; Comeragh lamb stew with Puy lentils; sage potato gnocchi with winter kale; sticky toffee chocolate fondant. Kamila has described how Momo is “our second home. We put all our love there,” and you can feel that determination, that affection, that strength, in every detail of this heartfelt and wonderful Waterford destination. So, yes, Harry and Kamila and the team run a brilliant restaurant. But they also do much, much more than that. They offer courage, and kindness, and that is what makes Momo so special.
