Chef's Table

Archive - all the best places to eat, shop and stay in Ireland. A local guide to local places.

How far is too far to travel for dinner?

In this issue of Megabites, we feature the Chef's Table at Dublin's Chapter One restaurant, an experience that food lovers traverse the globe to enjoy.

John McKenna travels 500 kms to eat lunch at Canteen Celbridge, and we journey from Cork's Cinnamon Cottage to Hipsborough's – sorry, Phibsborough's – Two Boys Brew, on Dublin's Northside. And somehow there is still time to head to the west coast, to see how Galway's Dough Bros are transforming the world of pizza, in double quick time.

There is no too far to travel when it comes to searching out the best Irish food.

Phew! You'll probably need to have a ittle lie down after you've read all this. Megabites: life on the road!
