2013 was good, but 2014, for everyone in Irish food, was even better. Tourism was good. The restaurant culture was better than it has ever been. Across the board it was a fantastic year for Irish food and Irish food producers with the growth of a truly creative artisan mentality in Northern Ireland being perhaps the cherry on the cake. Confidence has returned to the restaurant and artisan sectors, and the Irish public have responded with appreciation, and appetite. In 2014, the best in Ireland got even better.
